If only you could come w/me and be my aur pair in SWITZERLAND! Yep, Big Daddy, the Four Scrubs and I are moving to Geneva, Switzerland this summer and I’M JUST A LITTLE BIT EXCITED THAT I CAN’T BREATHE, WHERE’S MY INHALER?????
Denton’s company is sending him to Switz-land for two+ months this summer beginning in May. After I go to Natalie’s wedding Memorial Day weekend, the kids and I are heading out to Geneva to meet up with Dad. Geneva is the 2nd most expensive city in Europe and dubbed the “Land of Parks.” Home to all the chocolate and cheese I can eat. My plan was to lose twenty pounds this summer, not anymore!!! We’re gonna find ourselves a 2-room apartment (that costs double our mortgage) and the kids and I will bum around Geneva until Dad gets off work. Then it’s off to the cafe’s and Swiss nights.
You can be jealous…. I would.

Bring me with! I totally have experience as an au pair in CH. Seriously, I did it for 6 months. But I was over by Zurich. I did take a train to Geneve (or Genf, as the deutch speakers would say). SO JEALOUS!!
Definitely do not even think about losing weight–I gained 20 pounds while I was there. No joke! The food is amazing.
Whaaaaaaa! Fahreakin’ awesome. And yes, I want to come. Every once in a while Chris brings up moving foreign for a bit but it has never panned out. So, way to go. Can’t wait to hear all your stories about using your lingo with the swissies–peace out!

I am jealous and I wish we could afford to come visit…and of course stay in a Marriot (except there may not be one) Wouldn’t think of moving in a 2 bedroom with you unless we slept with the kids. We could have movie night every night.

Plus you’re acting as if this is exciting when you’re going to miss out on the 100 degree summer here complete with cicadas. I mean really, Geneva? Are you sure you wouldn’t rather let your kids play in the muddy James River all summer? Sigh. I’ll keep you in my prayers. :-)
Holy cow!! That is so beyond awesome! I am sooooo jealous, but you better take pictures and blog more so we can hear all about it.

Marissa! I am laughing my head off about Leo’s comment that she was born to swim. Anyway, I’m so happy that you arrived in Europe safely!!! We shopped at Carrfore (however you spell it) in Singapore. I remember the carts you had to pay for and what a heaven-sent store it was. When we returned to America, Target was one of my first stops!!! Enjoy the cheese for us.
Sunday Rob and I are playing a duet piano piece in sacrament meeting. Only, I forgot to tell him I volunteered us until last week. Needless to say, I am in the dog house as we are really not pianists. What was I thinking?! Oh, we miss you. Glad you’re having a blast. Good luck with the stick shift. Just don’t stop going up hill.
