Leo passed off the 13th Article of Faith on Sunday. She’s been working hard all year–actually, more like since July, and really, it’s not very hard for her. She just has a knack for memorizing. She and I usually work on them at night when she’s going to bed, and it only takes a few nights for each. The best part is that she gets up in primary on her own and recites them loud and clear (and sometimes fast).
She got $13 to celebrate her accomplishment–she gets to pick anywhere she wants to go to celebrate (and I’m rooting for Chipotle). Tonight she told me she wished we could go to Antarctica, but she’s afraid of polar bears.

go leo!!! that’s so great she did that! what a smart little girl!
This is Leo’s mother – the post was from Denton and just know that we DON’T pay our kids to be righteous, although a little dough now and then makes me want to go to church more. She got the $$$ after the fact – Denton just wants Leo to take him out and pay for it. :)
Don’t worry Sammy, we know how you roll! She is a smart little whip though.
When I was in the Primary presidency we “encouraged” the kids to learn the Articles of Faith and they got a ginormous cookie after memorizing each one. That’s not bribery is it?
I love the picture. That’s classic.
what a great idea! i’m totally going to copy you.
I am so proud of Leo. She has a photographic memory like her dad…he memorized things so easily. But I know she works at it and trys really hard. She is so brave to get up and do it in front of everybody. Way to go Le Le…..you are so awesome.

Can I just say how in love with Leo I am? She is the funniest & sweetest girl ever. I love seeing her at church – especially when her cousin Chloe shows up & they pal around together. Too cute! :)
